Let’s Build a Home for HIV/AIDS Orphans

A new and challenging chapter opens for Homes of Hope as we build an orphanage for HIV/AIDS infected and affected children in India.

As you read this, 30 children are jammed into a single room in Imphal, Manipur, India.  They have been shunned, marginalized….they have suffered enough – through no fault of their own.  Let’s build them a home, with beds, nutritious food, the medicines they need to combat this horrible disease, a computer lab, study desks….all they need to thrive.

We have a unique opportunity for help some of the neediest children in the world. In Imphal, Manipur, (y)our #8 orphanage will house up to 70 children.

The state of Manipur has one of the highest rates of HIV/AIDS infection among vulnerable women and their children. With a safe and healthy place to live, children like these at Imphal have a chance to overcome their challenging circumstances.

YOU can provide that home for up to 70 girls (yes, we will take care of more children) and give them a safe place to heal, to learn, to grow … and be loved.  And your gift of $3,000 will be remembered in a very special way.

Leading to our Imphal Home of Hope will be a Pathway of Prayers. Each Stepping Stone on the path, representing gifts of at least $3,000, will be richly engraved with your name or the name of a loved one, a lasting tribute to your generosity. Stepping Stones can also be dedicated as a memorial for a deceased parent, spouse, a child, anyone you want to remember in a very special way.

Each day, the orphan girls and Franciscan sisters will “pray” the Stepping Stones, and you will be remembered. Just think: a prayer each day for you or a loved one. Perhaps that prayer will be said just when you need it the most. Please become a “Stepping Stone” to a brighter future for these poor children in India.
